Golf Clubs For Beginners - 7 Things You Need to Know Before Choosing a Golf Club

Choosing the right golf clubs when you are just learning the game can be difficult, you may feel like you are completely lost in a maze of new words and numbers. It can get very confusing for the new golfer if you do not understand the lingo of the game.

Here are some pieces of information that will help you to get you started:

· A set of golf clubs means that there are no more than 14 clubs
· Typically, a set will include: Irons: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, PW, Woods: 1, 3, 5 and a putter.
· You do not have to carry every golf club you own. You may decide that you only need certain ones
when you are just beginning to play golf.
· Just because a golf club is higher priced does not necessarily mean it is the best or will help your game
the most. Instead, use that money to invest in golf lessons or more time practicing at the driving range.
· The shaft is the axle of the club, and the better the shaft, the better the club.
· Use standard length clubs unless you are very short or very tall.
· You may want to begin by renting clubs at a driving range to get a feel for what you will need before
purchasing anything.
